CMS Rule on Medicare Risk Adjustment Data Validation Program (On-Demand Webinar)
Overview: This webinar will provide an overview of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) final rule issued on February 1st, 2023 outlining its audit methodology and related policies for the contract-level Medicare Advantage (“MA”) Risk Adjustment Data Validation (“RADV”) program (the “2023 Final RADV Rule”). We will examine legal and actuarial implications the 2023 RADV final rule has for Medicare Advantage Organizations as well as discuss a number of items codified in the 2023 Final RADV Rule, that had been the subject of previous CMS rulemaking activity, including:
• The finalization of the 2018 Proposed Rule on extrapolation of RADV audit findings
• CMS rationale for deciding not to use a FFS Adjuster for audited overpayment findings
