Many covered entities are using, or allowing collaborators and other third parties to use, de-identified information for a variety of purposes, including quality improvement, research, and development of AI. This webinar will delve into the legal standards for de-identification or anonymization of data under HIPAA, Part 2, the federal Common Rule, the California Consumer Privacy Act and other similar state laws, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The webinar will also cover the real risks of re-identification of individuals, and mechanisms to prevent re-identification.
