Overview: This webinar focuses on mental health and substance use disorders in the lawyer and legal profession, with a focus on challenges in the time of COVID. An addiction medicine psychiatrist from Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation will discuss the neurobiological aspects of addiction and will discuss the first ever national survey of mental health and addiction use in lawyers (ABA/Hazelden Betty Ford, 2017). Speakers also discuss licensure and board considerations, and address what in-house law departments, law firms, and others can do to address issues within their practice.
