The 2022 Fraud and Abuse Bootcamp Webinar Series will guide health care counsel through the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and the Civil Monetary Penalty (CMP) Law in their current state now that health care reform has been fully implemented. The webinar panelists will discuss how these updated laws and regulations impact health care providers. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the fraud and abuse framework and will leave the series with practical compliance strategies.   

Part I of this series will provide an up-to-date, basic overview of the Stark Law and its implementing regulations, including the overall framework, interpretations, and potential areas of enforcement risk. Our panel will share their insights, including practical guidance for advising clients on complying with the current state of the law and regulations, and lessons learned from the trenches. The panelists will highlight themes that emerge in the regulations, identify key definitions and interpretive changes, illuminate problem areas, and suggest guidance for navigating each of them.
