The 2022 Fraud and Abuse Bootcamp Webinar Series will guide health care counsel through the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and the Civil Monetary Penalty (CMP) Law in their current state now that health care reform has been fully implemented. The federal Civil Monetary Penalties (CMP) law prohibits certain inducements to beneficiaries that are likely to influence the ordering or receipt of items or services payable by federal health care programs. Part III of this series will provide an overview of the CMP beneficiary inducement prohibition, including the overall framework, interpretations, potential areas of enforcement risk, and lessons learned from the trenches.
