Within Reach: Getting Ready for ACO REACH Before January 1, 2023

Date: 12/01/22
Time: 2:00-3:30 PM ET

Overview: This webinar will open with some general background information on the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) and accountable care organizations (ACOs) and a review of the timeline from the start of the Global and Professional Direct Contracting (GPDC) model to the Implementation Period of the ACO Realizing Equity, Access, and Community Health (REACH) Model (the current stage). Following this background review, the presentation will analyze the three types of ACOs under the ACO REACH Model, compare the two risk-sharing options available (professional v. global), and compare the benchmarking methodology under ACO REACH to the methodology used in GPDC. The webinar will then examine ACO REACH requirements that provisionally accepted and current GPDC participants must comply with prior to the start of the first performance year (1/1/2023), including beneficiary alignment thresholds, participating provider contracting, and governance conditions to participation. The webinar will then discuss ongoing compliance and monitoring by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services that participants will be subject to throughout the ACO Reach Model period and thoughts to consider for maintaining compliance throughout participation in the model. The webinar will close with a brief summary of the information covered, followed by a Q&A session.
