Overview: The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently revised the instructions and forms that must be used for its Physician Self-Referral Law disclosure protocol (SRDP). Of note, the revised SRDP includes a new process for physician practices reporting noncompliance related to failure to qualify as a “group practice,” which is critical for a physician practice to have access to the in-office ancillary services and physician services exceptions. The significant volume of disclosures related to this type of noncompliance is likely tied to an increase in private equity investment in physician practices. In this webinar, CMS speakers will explain the changes, share tips to avoid common mistakes that can result in rejection from the SRDP, and provide practical advice for reaching an optimal resolution under the SRDP.
