In the Wake of Dobbs, Part II: Labor and Employment Considerations (On-Demand Webinar)

Date: 05/17/23

Overview: The issue of employer coverage for abortion services, prescription drugs for abortions, and travel to states that permit the provision of such services/drugs has dominated the benefits community since the Dobbs decision was issued in June 2022. Health insurers, health plan administrators, and any organization that has employees will want to join us to learn about what the employment law implications are when employees obtain or are denied these items or services. This webinar will include a discussion of the EEOC’s position regarding health coverage for prescription drugs for medication abortions, abortion services, and travel for the same, including under the Pregnancy Discrimination Act and Americans with Disabilities Act. In addition, the panelists will explain how to comply with the FMLA, and whether state leave laws and other state discrimination laws apply.
