Overview: This webinar explores the process for seeking formal guidance from government agencies related to the Physician Self-Referral Law and Anti-Kickback Statute/Beneficiary Inducement Civil Monetary Penalty Laws.  The panel includes former and current government officials who discuss the process and scope of the advisory opinion processes.  The moderator asks the panel about frequently asked questions, and for tips for successful interaction with the government.

  • The audience will learn about the distinctions between the CMS and OIG advisory opinion processes.
  • The audience will gain an understanding of the statutory and regulatory framework for requesting an opinion, and the nuances corresponding with the government throughout the process.
