Overview: This webinar examines ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct (Rules 1.1, 1.3, 1.6, and 1.8 as it relates to the use of AI by attorneys. This webinar includes an intro of Webinar/In-House Practice Group, an introduction in generative AI products being used in the legal department, use cases for generative AI in the legal department, creation of “deep fakes” and application of Rule 3.3, 3.4 and 4.1,  the responsibility for Lawyers’ Agents – Rules 5.1 and 5.3  lawyers have an ethical obligation to supervise lawyers and non-lawyers and much more.

Learning Objectives: 

  • Attendees will learn how legal departments and law firms are currently using AI in the practice of law, will examine cases of the use of AI in the law.
  • Attendees will understand how Model Rules of Professional Condut apply to the use of AI in the practice of law (Will be looking at Rules 12.1, 1.3, 1.6, 1.8 and others).
  • Attendees will understand more about risks in the use of AI -- biases, deep fakes, hallucinations, and errors.
