NSA Update: CMS Enforcement on Balance Billing Ban and Good Faith Estimate Requirements

Overview: The webinar will offer a discussion of the latest developments in enforcement of No Surprises Act requirements applicable to health care facilities and providers, including the ban on balance billing and the provision of a good faith estimate of expected charges to uninsured and self-pay patients. CMS is contacting facilities and providers to inform them of patient complaints alleging NSA violations and requesting documentation to resolve complaints. Speakers will provide an overview of the types of NSA violations being investigated by CMS and the documentation requested. The webinar will outline steps facilities and providers can take to comply with NSA requirements and avoid complaints or to be prepared in the event of a complaint.
