Overview: This webinar will discuss key strategic, regulatory, and contractual considerations when integrating behavioral health care into primary care. The speakers will review integrated care under the Collaborative Care Model and legal and regulatory considerations when working with behavioral health care providers and primary care providers as well as the process to establish a collaborative care partnership. The webinar will also review areas for further growth for behavioral health care providers, such as providing and billing for direct care, and highlight areas of legal support required to expand services.

Learning Objectives: 

  • Attendees will learn about the Collaborative Care Model and understand legal and regulatory considerations relative to the model.
  • The panel will provide first-person provider perspectives regarding the integration process, ongoing support for provider relationships, and experiences with payers.
  • Key areas for legal support and expertise will be identified and reviewed in response to stakeholder identification of areas for growth for behavioral health care services.
