Overview: This webinar explores the increasing role of states in regulating health care data privacy, including key differences in new state privacy laws and how they impact health care data, recent developments, and enforcement priorities. Topics will include new laws focused on consumer health data, the impact of more general state consumer privacy laws on health data, and new laws specific to certain conditions and treatments, such as reproductive health care and gender affirming care. Representatives from the Attorneys General Offices of California, Texas, and Washington will share valuable insights into how their state-specific legal frameworks impact health care providers, data handlers, and consumers. This discussion is essential for legal professionals, health care executives, and compliance officers seeking to navigate the evolving landscape of health care data privacy across diverse jurisdictions.
