Overview: This webinar discusses how health care providers can improve their managed care contracts to strengthen their position in arbitration in disputes with managed care payers. Many providers find that in-network provider agreements, including dispute resolution terms, are often drafted in ways that don't fully reflect their interests. Speakers will discuss lessons learned from arbitration on contract terms and explore how providers can reword contract language to better balance the scales and protect their interests going forward.

Learning Objectives: 

  • Learn some of the pressure points in payer provider contracting, especially with respect to Medicare Advantage plans.
  • Identify the various forms of dispute resolution clauses that can expand or limit a provider's rights.
  • Explain key payment terms that may, in arbitration, not be interpreted the way the provider intended them to be interpreted.
