Overview: This moderated fireside chat-structured webinar will cover the what, when, how, and why to self-disclose – and to whom. The former federal government panelists will provide a deep dive in light of OIG’s recently updated Health Care Provider Self-Disclosure Protocol and DOJ’s National Fraud Enforcement Division’s announcement relating to self-disclosures for alleged criminal health care fraud. Speakers also discuss what to expect based on these changes, as well as the resources available to organizations as they contemplate their options for self-disclosing.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the nuances of what conduct can be disclosed, when it should be disclosed, how it must be disclosed, and the considerations for why.
  • Identify to whom a self-disclosure can or even should be made, considering the type of conduct to be disclosed, as well as recent OIG and DOJ developments
  • Receive practical tips and information about the resources available as counsel contemplate their options for self-disclosure to the federal government

Speaker Information:

Matthew J. Westbrook, Senior Counsel, Proskauer Rose LLP

Dr. Julie Taitsman, Managing Director, BDO
