Health Care Real Estate 101 provides an overview of the practical and regulatory concerns that arise in real estate leasing in the health care context. Particular focus is given to:

  • qui tam actions under the False Claims Act,
  • the Stark Law exception for timeshare arrangements,
  • Stark and AKS concerns with fulltime leases,
  • fair market valuation of rental rates,
  • provider-based issues, and
  • build-to-suit scenarios.
