2024 Advising Providers eProgram

This new eProgram combines the best of two long-standing AHLA ePrograms—the Academic Medical Centers and Teaching Hospitals eProgram and the Physicians and Hospitals eProgram. View the in-person Program Schedule to see the full list of essential topics included in this inaugural combined eProgram.

The 2024 AHLA Advising Providers eProgram provides strategies to address legal, regulatory, compliance, business, and strategic challenges facing a wide range of health care providers including physicians, hospitals, AMCs, and health systems. Sessions address:

  • Strategies to address compliance with the False Claims Act, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and evolving fraud enforcement
  • Trends and developments in health care transactions, including antitrust enforcement, private equity, affiliations, break-ups, virtual provider networks, and value-based enterprises
  • Payment and reimbursement, including transparency, drug pricing, payer/provider disputes, and audits
  • Key AMC considerations, such as those relating to clinical research, investigational medical products, GME payment policies, service line carveouts, and medical staff policies on coverage, sexual harassment, and more
  • Risks and opportunities relating to AI and other innovative technologies
  • More insights and solutions from presenters selected by a committee of practicing peers

CE INFORMATION:

CLE: The maximum number of credits available for the eProgram is 30.8 (including 1.0 legal ethics) for a 60-minute state and 36.9 (including 1.2 legal ethics) for a 50-minute state. Please note that the actual number of credits may vary from state to state.
CCB: The Compliance Certification Board (CCB)® has approved this event for up to 36.9 NON-LIVE CCB CEUs based on a 50-minute hour.
