Overview: In this webinar, speakers will assess breaches, security incidents, and correspondence from regulators, as well as review HIPAA security risk assessments and generic HIPAA policies and procedures and inadequate training. Discussion topics include missing or pre-Omnibus Rule Business Associate Agreements (BAA), conflicting provisions in master agreements and BAAs, BAAs without required regulatory provisions, and change of control provisions in BAAs. They will also discuss uses and disclosures of PHI that exceed restrictions in BAAs and potential penalties and remediation measures.
